The North Star or Polaris – is famous for holding nearly still in our sky while the entire northern sky moves around it. For thousands of years navigators have used Polaris to guide them to and from their homeports. Sailors still use Polaris for celestial navigation, and modern astronomers often use Polaris to help them align their telescopes.
The North Georgia STAR employee recognition program recognizes meaningful accomplishments of University of North Georgia staff employees who embody the University’s standards for excellence, efficiency, and outstanding customer service to internal or external constituents.

The program is maintained in the Human Resources Department.
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible for the award. If an employee has previously been nominated, they can be nominated again. There is no limit to how many times an employee can be nominated.
A nominee must exemplify one or more of the following values:

Employees may nominate or be nominated by other 果冻传媒 employees, but self-nominations are not accepted.
Nominations are accepted at any time and nomination forms are available in the Human Resources department, or you may complete the online form. All nominations should be forwarded to the Human Resources Department.
Nominees are notified via Human Resources and will receive a certificate and a STAR pin in recognition of their award.
